Chamber Ensamble
The Santarello Chamber Ensemble operates at the Youth Cultural Center in Katowice. The choir was established in 2002 out of the need to develop the musical interests of a group of friends.
It is a choir bringing together people of different ages, representing various professions, united by a common passion - love for music, especially choral singing. The ensemble's repertoire, adapted to the current needs and general interests of the choristers, includes sacred and secular works from the Renaissance to the present day.
The choir conducts extensive artistic activities.
He gave concerts in many Polish cities and abroad, in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. He took part in numerous artistic events, such as: National Days of Choral Sacred Music. G. G. Gorczycki in Bytom, International Gliwice Choral Meetings, Festival of the Arts of Mikołaj of Koźle, Paczkow Festival of Organ and Chamber Music. Moritz Brosig Music beyond borders, Silesian Festival. L. van Beethoven in Głogówek, Flower Festival Festival in Otmuchów, XXVI Silesian Festival of the Prudnik Region named after L. van Beethoven in Prudnik, 2nd National Cantus Choral Festival Józefa Świder, International Festival Choral Night of Choirs in Ruda Śląska, Musical Evenings in the Basilica in Katowice.
The choir has recorded three compact discs.
The Santarello Chamber Ensemble also achieves success in choral competitions and festivals. The co-founder and conductor of the choir is Iwona Bańska.
