MOST THE MUSIC
Children's Choir
from Ruda Śląska
The children's choir in Ruda Śląska was established in September 2023 as part of the Most the Music program.
This program operates thanks to the support of the Most the Most Foundation, whose mission is to build social capital by supporting culture, creators and intergenerational cooperation.
The Foundation initiates activities of local communities around the renovation of monuments and giving them new social functions. The city of Ruda Śląska is one of the communes that won the "Our Monument" competition in 2023 organized by the Most the Most Foundation. This distinction created the opportunity to create a choir as part of the Most the Music program, whose artistic director is the composer, arranger, conductor and producer - Adam Sztaba.
The Most the Music program is aimed at children and teenagers in primary and secondary schools. The idea of the program is to activate students by participating in free choir classes, but also to integrate peers and create an alternative offer to the world of virtual contacts and computer games.
The choir practices twice a week at the Music School Complex in Ruda Śląska, and the choristers include 24 students from schools in Ruda, aged 7 to 16. The Most the Music program involves the choir participating in vocal workshops and then in 3 family concerts. Immediately after the end of the school year, a week-long camp will be held, during which all young artists belonging to the 8 distinguished choirs (approximately 200 children) will meet. The culmination of the "Most the Music" project will be the Grand Final Concert, which this year will take place on June 29 at 5 p.m. at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw. On the stage of the Philharmonic, young performers will perform accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Adam Sztaba and stars of the Polish music scene, including: Natalia Kukulska.
