John Paul II Square
The square is the center of both the district and the entire city.
It was established before World War I as a place primarily for trade. On old maps we can find its original name, Marktplatz.
For many years, thanks to the rich vegetation, it was a center for walks, meetings and relaxation for residents. Since 2005, John Paul II has been the patron of the square, and in 2010 its last reconstruction took place.
To this day, it houses the City Hall building and the largest church in Ruda - the temple of St. Paul.
