KRAKOFONIA

KRAKOFONIA

Krakofonia is Kraków’s first and only LGBTQ+ choir—a unique group of people who love singing together, developing their vocal skills, and sharing their energy with audiences. At the same time, it’s an inclusive, safe space where everyone can be themselves, build friendships, and work for the good of the community.

We are a non-professional choir that has been active since 2014. Our repertoire features a wide variety of songs in multiple languages, ranging from queer anthems to fresh arrangements of contemporary pieces. While we most often perform in Kraków, we’re also eager to take part in both Polish and international festivals.

We are members of Federacja Znaki Równości as well as the LEGATO Choirs—a European association of LGBTQ+ choirs.

Krakofonia is officially registered as a simple association, which helps us more effectively pursue our goals: purchasing sheet music, organizing concerts and accompaniment, offering voice training and vocal workshops, printing posters, and paying membership dues in our partner organizations.
