“Patria” Cinema
The "Patria" cinema is located in a modernist building, built in 1937 by Jan Jasiulek.
The cinema has been operating since the very beginning of the building's construction until today. This place is a great example of using the most fashionable trends in architecture at that time. It combines the elegance of 1930s modernism with elements characteristic of the so-called "ship style". Until the outbreak of the war, the cinema enjoyed incredible popularity among the inhabitants.
In 1990, it returned to the founder's family, and since 2000 it has been consistently turning into an arthouse cinema.
