Con fuoco

The Pszczyna Chamber Ensemble "Con fuoco" was established on the initiative of a group of friends in 1991. To this day, each voice includes people who have been creating this musical project almost from the very beginning. The group consists mainly of amateurs, choral music enthusiasts and singers for whom making music together is an important and enjoyable part of their lives.

 

For over thirty years of activity, the ensemble has performed many concerts, participated in numerous competitions, festivals and reviews, and for 20 years it has been a co-organizer of the Pszczyna Chamber Music Festival "Musica da Chiesa".

The band's repertoire includes various pieces - from medieval songs to contemporary musical literature.

Only in the last year of work, the team participated in, among others: in the International Chamber Music Festival held in Kaštel Gomilica in Croatia and took part in the 10th Czesław Prudel Choral Song Competition in Lyska, where he took third place.

 

As part of this year's Lenten concert, he performed for the local community the cantata "Vexilla Regis Prodeunt" by Damian Stani, written especially for "Con fuoco", which was recorded on the band's first album 25 years ago.
